Color me monthly November 1982 vintage review and swatch

I received the following product in exchange for review. All thoughts are my own.

I got the chance to work with Color me monthly again and once again they bring another color that I love.

Novembers color is 1982 vintage.
A wine colored nail polish that is to die for.
For these swatches I used 2 coats/3 coats/ 2 coats of 1982 vintage to show the range of color you can get depending  on how many coats you use.

Black Friday shopping.

I went out on Black Friday shopping. Now this was my first true Black Friday shopping trip.  I was there around 5:30pm on Thanksgiving trying to find the line for furby in the chaos. I asked a few workers after circling the store and not finding it. I was pointed to the photo lab and was 5th in line for furby boom!

If been wanting one of the Furby Boom for awhile but didn't want to pay full retail pricing like I did with the first generation of the new furbies. So $29 was too good to pass up.

So we waited in line for about 20 mins and once the line started it took less than 5 mins to get the furby I was wanting! I had the picture of the one I wanted on my cell showed it to the lady at the counter and she handed me the furby of my dreams!

I immediately headed towards the food section to get a video game for a cousin of mine. It was packed to the point you couldn't  move down that middle isle. So we ducked into children's and dodged through the racks to the next main isle. That isle was moving pretty quick as most of the people were in the other isle with children's toys and carts blocking the flow of traffic. I headed to the balloon that said playstation games to find out that's not where they were. But I did see something else I wanted.

For only $1.96!!! I couldn't pass it up but I also couldn't reach. So I asked if someone could pass me a copy and the crowd passed it to me. I was amazed as I expected to be ignored. I was able to the flee through an opening towards the cookies dodge behind a worker and reach dairy which is where I found the PS3 games and picked up one for my little cuz for Christmas. I then met back up with the Old man in chip isle and we took off down the cold food section through the produce isle and was in a line and out the door in less than 10 mins. We had more of a hard time getting out of the parking lot than we did inside the store. The old man doesn't like crowds but even he said it was not as bad as he expected and we actually had a good experience.

I had been thinking about picking up batteries when at Walmart but we didn't.
So off we ran to CVS to pick up batteries. They had a coupon which would make the 4 pack of cvs brand free. But of course those racks were empty. They let me use the coupon instead on a larger pack making it less than $4 for 8-10 batteries.  We of course went home and turned on my 2 new generation furbys and my furby baby that is still working (I got him for $1 at a yard sale!) it was fun! My furby boom has laid at least 10 eggs already.

We did some shopping at target on black Friday day and the place had sort of been picked clean in sections but I got a few things that I'd been wanting.
I got several Movies at $6 each:
Great gatsby (DVD)
The purge (DVD)
Dark knight rises (blu-Ray)
Warm bodies (blu-Ray)

I also went to a few local places and got the rest of the stuff I needed for Christmas so my Christmas shopping is finally complete!!!

I also broke open the piggy bank when I saw that Smallville was on sale $7.99 a season and discovered I had $45 just in change!!! I still have a ton of pennies just ran out of wrappers so needless to say it went towards buying all of smallville. I've seen maybe 3 episodes of the entire series. It's one I've been waiting for to show up on netflix but it's never there. Also once I'm done watching them I can recover my money from them by resale.

Sorry if the pictures are way huge! I'm blogging from iPhone right now as we are   Doing some repairs in the computer room and refinishing the desk at the same time so my home wifi is unplugged right now. So my phone is the only way I have to post until tomorrow.

I've had a nice 3 day weekend and will be heading back to work tonight. Hope you all had an amazing holiday and safe shopping!

Doctor Lacquer Don't Drink the Pink-aid swatch and review.

I received the following product in exchange for review all thoughts are my own.

Don't drink the pink aid was part of the halloween collection. Its my first thermal and I was excited to play with it. I swatched this on its own and loved the effect. The one thing I have found is the skull and cross bone glitter require fishing but I have seen that with all polishes that I have see them in.

 I didn't have any issues with application when using thin coats. I love the texture of this and it is a jelly.

The lighter swatches were from when I was warmer and the darker is from when I was cold.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

#StayMatte @RimmelLondonUS.
Received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

I love Rimmel London cosmetics. Everything I have tried from them has not disappointed me. I recently received Rimmel's newest foundation Stay Matte in Light Ivory. I run into a lot of problems when picking a foundation because they tend to be too dark for me even when I get the lightest shades. I was excited to see that this actually worked for me perfectly and while being a lightweight it covered my redness well. I used this foundation in my Halloween look and it covered well and I felt like I was wearing nothing!

See what a difference it made in evening out my skin tone! Not only that but it doesn't have that caked on appearance I get with my combination skin with most foundations! I am super excited about this foundation and can't wait for it to hit the shelves to I can pick up more!

Here is what Rimmel has to say about this foundation!
A feather light, oil free formula with an airy mousse texture that won’t feel heavy or greasy. Delivers all day shine control and blends flawlessly for a natural looking matte finish. Minimizes the appearance of pores. The weight is over – finally, shine has met its matte.

~~~~~~
This did not cause me to break out and I can tell you that I had an amazing experience with using this product and it has me coming back for more. I love the Packaging they used for this foundation as I found it easier to dispense and it takes a small amount to do your whole face. So it has the bang for your buck!
Spanked by Super Black Lacquers Swatch and Review.
I received the following product in exchange for review. All thoughts are my own.
Spanked is tied with Heather for my favorite out of this collection.
I used 2 coats with no Topcoat over a clear basecoat for each of these pictures. The pictures were taken with both my Camera and my iPhone. When I first applied this I immediately thought the color was a fuschia and cranberry. I can't wait to wow you with this color!
Here is some info from SBL website:
Spanked is a wine-colored linear holographic polish. Shimmering cranberry red in low light, with a prismatic holo effect in sunlight or full-spectrum indoor light. Opaque in 2-3 coats with a semi-matte finish. Skip the top coat with our holographic polishes to get the most prismatic effect...don't worry, the polish is long lasting and chip resistant without it!
Check out all the swatches after the break!
Purple Dreams and Fairy Magic by Nail Honey
I received the following product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
Bee sent me a polish she made for me as a custom. It was left unnamed and I had to ask my blogger friends to help me name it. I took a combination of names they suggested and came up with Purple Dreams and Fairy Magic.
This is a purple base with large black and silver hexes, silver bar glitter. Medium hexes in silver and blue. It also contains tiny purple,blue and red hexes and silver micro glitter. Check out my swatches!
Guilty by Super Black Lacquers Swatch and Review.
I received the following product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
Guilty from Super Black Lacquers is a yellow toned gold. I don't have a lot of gold colors in my polish collection because gold has never been a color I have enjoyed... until now. A gold holo is just what I needed.
Here is more about Guilty from SBL website:
Our gold holographic polish. In the shade, it is a subtle metallic gold, but when you're in the sun or full-spectrum indoor lighting, the polish explodes in a gold holographic rainbow. Opaque in 2-3 coats, with a semi-matte finish. We recommend that you skip the top coat with our holographic polishes to maximize the effect!
Guilty is $12.00
My co-workers didn't understand what I was so excited about when I first brought the polishes in. They like to paint their nails but they aren't polish addicts and didn't know what a Holographic polish was. My co-worker named Jess used Guilty and at first she wasn't much impressed because she doesn't like gold much either.
 These are her nails after she painted them with Guilty. She was in a hurry so I snapped these before she took off from work that morning.  When she came back in that night she told me about how she walked outside and her nails just BAM exploded into rainbows! Needless to say she is in love now! If you want to see Guilty in action click read more to see the many many pictures I have waiting for you after the break.
Heather by Super Black Lacquers Swatch and Review.
I received the following product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
I was sent 3 colors from Super Black Lacquers all holo and all take my breath away. Heather is the purple one and I can't decide if I like Heather or Spanked better because they both leave me drooling.
***Super Black Lacquers will be referred to as SBL from here on in this review.***
I used 1 coat and was amazed by the results but added another coat just to be sure. The dry time was a dream almost no waiting at all! There was no sun while I was reviewing the SBL I received so all 3 are shown in flash to show you the beautiful color and holo these have. I applied Heather to my right hand at first and I am right handed so I wasn't happy with the paint job and I haven't quite tamed the hang nails on my right. However I do love how well the pictures show the holo so please ignore the poor state of my right hand and enjoy the beauty that is Heather. I promise my swatch hand (left) looks much better and I did Heather on there as well.
Be prepared I have a ton (not literally a ton!) of pictures for you.
These were taken with both my point and shoot and my iPhone 5S.
Coffee Break from Nail Honey Swatch and Review.
I received the following product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
Coffee break is one of the neutrals being made by Nail Honey this fall and it reminds me of a cappuccino. This is a nice brown with gold shimmer.
Here is a macro of Coffee break so you can see that gold very well here.
I received the following product in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
I recently got to work with Bee on a review of 3 of her lovely polishes! The first I am bringing to you is Blood Diamond an I love this color!
Blood Diamond is a blood red jelly jam packed with glitters. This baby has bright red micro glitter with hexes in 3 sizes! Large hexes in silver,red,gold,and green. Medium hexes in blue and green and smaller in silver,red and blue. I love the squishy appearance of this color and it had me drooling!
