Operation: anti-present theft

Operation: anti-present theft

I was provided the following in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts here are my own.

This is part of our holiday gift guide this holiday season.

I have been a victim of mail theft and chances are so have you. I had been looking around for a solution to preventing my mail box from being plucked at the whim of thieves. Being a blogger and a polishaholic I tend to get packages all year around. So I had been looking for a way to protect those packages but what I was finding at Home Depot and Lowes were falling short for my needs. I needed something that could store several packages at a time. When Mail Boss agreed to work with me I was ecstatic
I received the Mail Manager which retails starting for $149.00 for the box itself. They offer posts to place it on and even more choices.

When looking around at their site I saw a video about someone trying to break into the mail Manager with a crow bar. That video impressed me so well I knew that anything that is sent to me would be safe.

Most of my family lives elsewhere and so any presents I receive are through the mail. In one Christmas alone over $150 was stolen from my mail. That is just one Christmas, but its happened several years in a row. So because of that my family has been afraid to send me anything for fear it will be stolen.

That is why I call this review Operation anti present theft. If you are trying to find a solution to the same issue as I then I highly recommend checking out Mail Boss as the products are amazingly made. Even the Old man agrees about this mailbox and how well its made.

I know you must think shipping for one of these mailboxes is outrageous. I have great news! The shipping is free!!!!

  4. Oh I really love this! Seeing as how we are getting ready to move and we will no longer have a locked mailbox, I am really starting to worry about my packages especially with the holidays coming up. I may have to look into this and show the hubby. Thanks so much for sharing!

  5. Great mailbox. Love the anti-thief thing for leverage. I've had mail stolen before too! Not fun.

  6. I really like this idea. We order things a lot online, so I get a lot of packages and right now we have those community key boxes, but when we purchase a home, I'm sure we will need something like this because I am always worried that my packages will get stolen. If someone else has a package in our key box right now the mailman just leaves the package at my door so that anyone walking or driving by my house can easily see there is a package there, so I would definitely look into getting this if I owned a home with a separate mailbox. Thanks for sharing.

  7. I've had some packages go missing... I'd really love to have one of these. I worry constantly about more missing.

  8. It also happened to me to be eager to receive something by mail and..have the worse 'surprise" ever to discover that I will never get my packages because they were stolen. I could definitely use this thing. Thanks for sharing it, I will try also.

  9. Our mailbox is together with others in our building, so it doesn't make sense for us to change anything, but for anyone living in a house it definitely makes sense to own one.

  10. Interesting concept, but for people in condos or apartments it is hard to get unique mailboxes. It is definitely worth investing in a secure mailbox if you expect a lot of packages and have no safe place for the carrier to leave them. And at $150 is it really not that expensive considering that it saves you the hassle of getting a PO Box.

  11. Like you, I get packages all year round - and we are a geeky-tech family, so some of those packages can be pretty pricey. I've been lucky so far and nothing has been stolen, but I can definitely see the value in these!

  12. This sounds like a great idea. I know a lot of people who have lost packages right off their front porch. Thanks for the info.

  13. I love that idea! We don't have our own place, so we couldn't use this now, but this is definitely something we might want down the road. I've only had one package stolen ever (that I know of), but it was enough that I don't want to happen it again.

  16. I didn't know that mail theft was such a huge problem. I've never had this happen to me, as far as I am aware. Newspapers, on the other hand...!

  17. I use to live in apartment and my mail box was to far away for me to watch my mail in the box. And i had mail missing before. It was a mess trying to find out what happened to it. My utility bill was gone.Later I received a shut off notice.I finally got it worked out. It could of been very bad if my electric was shut off, so thank goodness it wasn't.

  21. I don't recall having any mail theft that I know of. But it is very possible. Although my mail box is all dented up right now because someone decided to take a bat to it. I haven't gotten it replaced yet so this mail box would be a great prize for me to win!!! Thanks!!!

  22. We have been dealing with mail theft for about a year now it started with small things then packages started missing then we found out someone had opened a master card in my fathers name and he has great credit so a 25,000 limit and they spent every penny of it and also 10,00 on a chase card he had but had not used in about a year. People need to be very careful we live in what we thought was a nice neighborhood.

  23. I haven't had any problems with mail theft, at least as far as I know, but we did have several incidences of vandalism in our previous home. We lived on a state highway, which made it easy for someone to damage the mailbox. Finally got a post office box to receive mail, but we now live on a quiet dead end, which is probably much less likely to have that problem!

  24. this is so great!! cause i am constantly wondering if people are taking my mail to the point where im eager to put up cameras but i think it would be a hassle to check it constantly blah blah but this would fix everything people would look at it and wont even bother trying!! lol

  25. Heavy steel construction a must in my rural area. Snow plows eat up the cheap ones.

  26. Love the video! I've personally haven't been a victim of mail theft but that doesn't mean that it can't happen to me. Better safe than sorry. Looking more into it. Thanks!

  27. I haven't ever had someone steal anything out of my mailbox but I have had someone steal a package that was left at my door.

  28. I have been fortunate that I haven't had anyone steal my mail. But, I have someone who stole my identity on-line. Not a fun experience to go through at all.

  29. I have never been a victim of mail theft but I do live beside of some kids who like to put silly things in my mail box. They have put trash and maxi pads in it before. This box would be great because it would put a stop to that.

  31. Luckily I have not experienced mail theft. I intend to be proactive in keeping it that way
