I recently was given the chance to work with birthday in a box. They have a wide selection of products from party supplies to costumes, they have just about everything you could ever need no matter the occasion. It was so hard to pick an item from the selection!

 I love capes and I have one since High school and its nearing retirement age. The pictures above were taken in either 2006 or 2007 by friends. 

I was going through the Women’s party costumes When I stumbled upon a cape! Then I searched for capes using the search box and I can say I spent some time deciding which cape to go with! After much thought  I selected the Womens 63 Deluxe Black Velvet w/ Purple Satin Adult Cape. 

When I received the package I ripped it open like a Christmas present excited to see it and try it on!

Jessica took this picture for me at work that is why the back ground is whited out. This Cape is well made; the black is a velveteen material that has a stiffness to it. It is not as flowy as some I have tried in the past and if you were wearing this out for Halloween and it is slightly windy this will stay in place.  The purple is a satin material its very soft and smooth but too slick to provide warmth. I love the ruching  details on this cape it brings my mind to old vampire movies and Phantom of the opera. 

I originally planned this to take over as my every day cape, and by that I mean wearing it instead of a jacket when I am cold or going out ect, but this cape does not close over me and is not thick enough to keep me warm. This cape would be good for Halloween and parties but not what I was planning on using it for, but all the same I still love it.
