How to wear your baby with Baby K'tan. Review (Blu me away or Pink of me Event)

It seems baby wearing is a new trend, doesn't matter if they are: crunchy or silky, celebrities or everyday mommies, everyone is now completely immersed in this new world that involves leaving your bulky stroller at home. I've recently come across the opportunity to review Baby K'tan - Baby Carrier and I must tell you I  not only had fun but it was such a great experience. I come from a country were baby wearing is the norm strollers and others are not so efficient, not many people in the USA know where Bolivia is or know about our culture and how wearing your baby is the only way these people can go on with their daily lives and still keep 2 hands free to work, most use an aguayo (a colorful handcrafted fabric made of llama, sheep wool) they put the baby in the middle of a rectangle where the baby is lying down , then tie and secure the wrap in the front, the baby is always in their backs. So a couple of months ago I thought about baby wearing at least for my market trips and  trekking adventures. I bought a mobi wrap and thought since it wasn't rocket science, one way or another I would figure it out, no such thing after weeks of trying to figure out and failing, the mobi wrap is collecting dust in some random closet (maybe some day I'll give it another try).

The first time I came across the Baby K'tan carrier was on YouTube, in my journey trying to understand the secret techniques behind the mobi world, this  lady made a super technical review  about how to wear your Baby K'tan. I was in awe I've finally found a wrap which didn't need to be wrapped, woven, glued around yourself every time you have to go out. I'm telling you for people like me who still have problems making nice bows while tying their shoes, the Baby K'tan has to be one of the biggest inventions in the baby wearing world. The company sent me a Baby K'tan Carrier in the color blue (jeans) size L. for review purposes. The K'tan has 2 pieces instead of 1 like most baby wraps, there are no buckles, rings or zippers, The first part reminds me of a ribbon bow (2 big loops connected by a smaller loop)  and the second part is band or sash used to reinforce the carrier. The Sash also doubles as a storage tote.

When purchasing a K'tan there is one thing to keep in mind it all comes to the carrier size, since the carrier cannot be adjusted, the size has to be perfect or almost and one of the great things about this company is how fast and  polite their costumer service is. The Baby K'tan is 100% cotton and makes the carrier breathable and light, the design allows to distribute the weight perfectly making the carrier  really comfortable for those who plan to wear it for long periods of time. There are several options to baby wear and I love how several are explained step by step with detailed pictures. For newbie like me with a newborn on the way most of the woven, wraps and carriers seem to complicated and to hard to understand, while the Baby K'tan makes it really easy to understand and even more easy to use the carrier, maybe in a couple of months I'll give a try to my mobi again but until then I'm more than satisfied with my K'tan. The only problem we came across is the fact my husband will need an extra carrier for his size, yet he isn't to interested in baby wearing so it's not really going to effect us. The carrier can be machine washed  can be used until your baby is around 35lb.
So far I'm really happy with the Baby K'tan and think it will not only help my baby feel closer but will also be my introduction in the baby wearing world.
