I love tasty food and sometimes the tastier it is the unhealthier, the greasier and the more yummy it is, While we do love some greasy foods once in a while my family is trying a more healthy approach to our daily food, but eating veggies and brown rice everyday is not easy and it's even harder to reconcile this life style with my cooking style (which by the way is similar to my mom and grandma). I dont usually call it dinner/brunch if it does not have grains, veggies, meat and in some cases dairy products or eggs.
Working with a new healthy menu is a challenge but it's even more challenging make my family enjoy their food, I've been driving myself insane in search of new recipes, it's working yes, the kids like some kale and love some salad but they want meat, they miss the mayo and ranch, so we try to add a tiny bit to our new diet. Changing the main dishes at home was hard but changing the snacks was almost mission impossible, my kids wanted their potato chips, cheetos, doritos and pork rinds. I tried buying the healthy version of their favorite brands and they hated it.
Lately Whole Foods is one of my favorite stores, yet the one in my town is almost 10 miles away, which makes it harder for me to buy there often, but whenever we go we hit the snacks section, Mostly we dont really buy much there but we try. While grocery shopping at WH I stumbled upon some sweet potato chips (I love sweet potatoes). I was quite new to the brand Food Should Taste Good. Our first experience made certainly a big difference, the chips didn't make it back to the house. I was curious to try them so I told myself: I would eat just one, well between the kids and I the bag was gone before my husband found his way out of the parking lot.
Healthy and tasty usually dont mix well, but Should Food Taste Good is the perfect combination. I really wanted to know more about the company and try a couple more flavors, so when I was given the opportunity to work with them I jumped on it, didn't even thought about it. The company sent me 4 different products: Sweet Potato original (kettle baked), Guacamole, Olive and Multigrain (last 3 are tortilla chips). I actually ate the sweet potatoes all by myself (preggo cravings) but we all shared the other 3 bags and they were delicious. I'm not a fan of the tortilla chips but with some low fat cottage cheese and french onion dip (made of greek yogurt) everything was delicious. Look at this picture see even my kitten think they smells good.
We might not be the most healthy family of the block but we certainly found some healthy, delicious chips to replace the old ones. Food should taste good is all natural, gluten free, vegan, kosher, no MSG, 0gr of trans fat and it's free of colorants, flavors or preservatives and we love the brand.
