Swaddle Me. Aden+Anais Review (Blu me away or Pink of me Event)

I recently came across a post on facebook about swaddling and how unsafe it was for babies, the  person who wrote this article was talking about the risk of suffocation,SIDS and dysplasia.I must admit I'm not crunchy or silky or whatever is in between , yet as most parents I would think, I try to make educated, informed and well fundamented decisions. I have already asked my doctor, called my family (aunts, 2 uncles a Ob-Gyn and a pediatrician) and friend who is a doula, read a couple of articles and some scientific studies and while swaddling may have a downside the benefits outweighs them. A properly done swaddling will  not only help your baby to sleep more comfortable, protect him/her of the startle reflex and keep him warm until his own thermostat  works properly.

My little one will be born the last summer month but in Texas the weather will still be warm  until the first weeks of November,so I wanted some really light and breathable swaddling blankets, one of my favorite baby brands has to be Aden + Anais, I love the cutesy in their designs and prints. The  swaddle blankets are soft for the baby skin and breathable, where I come from we use muslin for swaddles or cloth diaper, since this lovely fabric is breathable and will help to reduce the risk of suffocation or overheating, the blankets size it's actually quite generous and allows an easy swaddling. The blankets can be used for several other baby needs after  your done swaddling your baby (in my case around 2nd month), you can cover the stroller use it as burping rag, nursing cover, etc. The four different patterns in the collection I received are beautiful and will not only make the baby happy but mommy as well.
