Fourteen years ago the best option and the most trusted was Johnson & Johnson Babies; well ten years ago the gmo's and chemicals info wasn't as available as it now. I was seriously thinking to skip Johnson's baby, until a friend told me their products were totally reformulated and all the dangerous and harmful chemicals were definitively taken out of their formulas with all that info I really wanted to give Johnson's Baby a try. Old habits die hard and I really loved their no tears shampoo and so did my kids. So when the opportunity to work with Johnson's Baby came across I had to say yes I really wanted to check their ingredient list and compare it with the old list still available on the net (I did it and the: formaldehyde, parabens, triclosan and phthalates are not there anymore).
The company sent me 3 loved and well known old products and 1 product that's quite new for me: Baby Shampoo (No Tears), Baby Oil, Soothing Vapor Bath and Baby Oil Gel. The first 3 are products I used frequently when my kids were babies.
The Baby Soothing Vapor Bath was one of my favorite products to use with my son, he was such a fussy baby, his skin was/is sensitive and he always and I mean always had a stuffed nose. Needless to says he wasn't happy at bath time, yet when we started to use the Soothing Vapor Bath it also seemed to improve not only my baby's character but also his stuffy nose and made it easier to clean. My nephew is not a fussy baby but he dislikes bath time, yet the Menthol and eucalyptus scent helps the baby to breath better and soothes him.
The Johnson's Baby Oil is a product so many people seems to dislike but I've used it for years and so did my mom not only for babies but for adults. For me bathing my babies and then rubbing their bottoms, legs, neck and feet with baby oil was one of my favorite things to do and my kids loved it until they were old enough to bath themselves, my sister had no problem with baby oil since she uses it often and Matias loves a soft and nice massage before bed, yet at home we used the Johnson's Baby Oil to remove makeup, after manicures and pedicures, for dry spots and it's fantastic for cradle cap and I love to use baby oil with cotton pads for cleaning babies bottoms instead of regular wipes ( mostly when my babies used to have a bad diaper rash). I know a lot of people enjoy olive oil, almond oil, jojoba, etc but for me Johnson's Baby Oil works and I'm blessed with healthy kids.
The Johnson's Baby Oil Gel was such a surprise I think it's time to replace the old baby oil for new new gel version it's more comfortable and easy to use than the older version, I always had problems when my baby would suddenly kick the oil bottle and it will spill all over my clothes, bed, her clothes or wherever I was changing them, I really like the idea of a spill proof baby oil, it will save me tons of detergent and cut my water bill.
I had so much fun reviewing the Improved and Reformulated Johnson's Baby products, it was more than just test and try a couple of products but was a trip to the past. Right now I can close my eyes and see my children as little babies, it makes me happy to know Johnson's Baby care about their costumers.

We have been using the baby shampoo for so long time. Even adults here are advised to use Johnson's baby shampoo because it's gentle and does not contain more harsh chemicals.
ReplyDeleteI personally love the soothing vapor scent. I used it on my baby ( he is 6 months now) in April when he had a horrible cold.
