Everyone usually talks about the pregnancy glow, the beautiful skin and hair, how the increased amount of hormones and blood in your body while pregnant seems to keep you skin and hair gorgeous and add a healthy glow proper of this wonderful new phase in your life. Sadly this is not true a 90% not even 80% of the pregnant women, while some are lucky enough to be granted the best features of pregnancy and the good side of the hormonal change, others (like me) have to settle for newly developed cystic acne, oily skin and everything swollen.
Most magic products you used to apply while you were non-preggo, you are now advised not to use. You wouldn't believe all the nasty things that can be absorbed via dermis. Eventually you will find yourself looking for a good and natural skin care line. There are few most people will recommend but there are always new options, it just takes some familiarity with search engines or facebook, yes almost every single company, it doesn't matter how big or little has a facebook fan page just make a general search. That's actually how I came across Pretty Mommies.
Pretty Mommy sent me their 3 step skin care: clean , moisturize and protect for a review:
The facial cleanser: "Let's Be Clear, has natural ingredients like: Rose Hipe, Jojoba, Sweet almond, Sweet orange oils, Aloe Vera, Green Tea, Red Tea. Cucumber The cleanser doesn't make foam, it's gentle and cleanses deeply without drying your skin, the fragrance is slightly citric.
The skin brightener: "Truth To Be Told": acts like moisturizer but giving you that pregnancy radiance we all want, helps lighten hyper-pigmentation and evens the skin tone. Truth to be told, moisturizes, nourishes and offers anti-aging protection while helps to prevent blemishes. The skin brightener is formulated with natural ingredients.
The Sunscreen: Protect & Reflect with SPF 30 uses as active ingredient zinc, but also grape seed, she butter, jojoba, rose hipe, extra virgin oil, etc. The sunscreen offers UVA /UVB sun protection without leaving white residues behind. The high zinc oxide offers physical protection against the harmful effects of the sun.
I have used the products for 20 days, until I completely ran out of them and in my experience, they work great. The system helped with the cystic acne I developed in the first 2 month of pregnancy, my face actually looks a little bit more radiant after applying the products and the sunscreen is really moisturizing without being greasy. My favorite part about the Pretty Mommies products... is that out of 20 ingredients I can recognize 17 of them, the brand is completely natural and I know none of the ingredients will harm my baby!

ReplyDeleteI would really really love to win this. Hormonal acne is killing me this pregnancy, and I know it's important to monitor what we put on our skin whether pregnant or not. Thanks for the opportunity!!
ReplyDeleteI had so much more acne when I was younger but, even though it's less now, it comes in these huge red welts that just create this painful mound under my skin. I'd rather be back to lots of little dots popping up than these mountains that are painful. I look like I've been stung!
ReplyDeletei wish i new about them when i was pregnant with my son :)
ReplyDeletei would love to win this
