It really doesn't matter in what season we're, babies seem to be little magnets for congestion or stuffy noses (so are pregnant women) and running a humidifier all day long is not always a great solution. Those old bulb syringes actually look more like old torture mechanisms than tools designed to help babies, you can always rub some menthol on your baby chest or add more liquids to his/her diet, however most of these solutions take some time and congestion might not wait.
