Acer iconia a501 4G android tablet review

I have never been a fan of android in the past and when I was told I was getting this tablet from school I thought  I would hate it. I had originally planned on selling it and putting the money I got from it with what I had saved before to buy a refurbished iPad 2 16gb. I decided that since a new ipad was sure to come soon I decided to wait and just play with this one until it came out. The day i picked up the acer I discovered the acer had similar programs that I wanted to use the iPad with free. So I edited some wedding photos with the tablet from a wedding I was the photographer at. I have totally fallen for this tablet and plan on keeping it till it dies. Once it dies then I will get an iPad. I write this review from the tablet and I do have to say there are things that it can do that an Ipad cant. I have a keyboard built into the case for the tablet that plugs in via usb and would not be compatible with an iPad. When I first got it, it was slightly buggy but once I sat down to look at it I found the update that needed to be done to fix the issues with the browser crashing. I can say that android has come a long way from where it started and I tip my facinator to google for moving forward in this time of technology and not backwards as some companies have done recently. In the past I have never liked acer BUT this tablet gives me hope that they are on the verge of becoming the best they can be, as corny as that sounds. I don't know why but I have this sneaking feeling that in the next 3 years acer is going to try to enter the smart phone business.
What I would change: The device is quite heavy and I always feel that I might drop it. I try to always use it on a table top.
Have you gotten an acer iconia tablet? What do you think of it so far?

The end of a journey. Black jack 2

The end has come for a trusted phone of mine that I have had for a very long time. The black jack 2 was a wonderful little Samsung windows smart phone that I purchased in 2008. In Jan of 2009 I got an iPhone and the blackjack 2 was inherited by my boyfriend. It was a phone you could step on throw it into a wall etc and still keep on ticking. But I am sad to say that after 4 years of abuse the phone has kicked the bucket. The screen is White and flickers. I'm sure it can be repaired since the sound still works and it still calls out but I can buy a new phone for less than it would cost to repair.

Good bye little blackjack you were the best for so long, and as far as I'm concerned the last of the good windows phones.
