Aren't the Stars and Stripes a Little Old Fashioned?

Nope! Happy 4th of July American readers!

AMURICAH! F- YEAH!

I couldn't pick just one design to do for the holiday so I settled on two, one more simple and one more over the top.

Sinful colors Star Blast Off over red white and blue gradient
Patriotic mani #1
Patriotic 4th of July skittles manj
Patriotic mani #2

For the first mani I did a red, white, and blue gradient using The Lady Varnishes Strapless Red Satin, Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Scuttle, and Nail Hoot Gramma Sparkle Berry. Then I topped that all off with Sinful Colors Star Blast Off. Now you're probably thinking how on earth I could consider this a simple mani; that is until you see my next creation.

Let's start with my pinky here which is Zoya Dream with KBShimmer Ice Queen and Star Spangled Avengers from a now defunct indie brand. My ring finger is an ode to Cap's shield using The Lady Varnishes Strapless Red Satin, China Glaze New Birth, Zoya Dream and Color Club Harp On It over a star stud. Then I tried a full nail vinyl on my middle finger for the stripes using China Glaze New Birth and The Lady Varnishes Strapless Red Satin but Strapless Red Satin didn't play too well with the vinyl. Instead of starting over I covered it with a spectaflair topper from Spectraflair4u and stamped some explosions with Sinful Colors Navy I Do and plate BM602. Finally my pointer finger is Lucky 13 Super Soldier and an American flag fimo slice from Cheeky. Although not pictured my thumb is just The Lady Varnishes Strapless Red Satin with a Zoya Dream tip.

Hope ya'll had a great Independence Day! (Or just a happy day in general for you non-Americans here)

  1. I love both looks! I was feeling especially lazy and just painted my nails with L13L Super Soldier. Luckily it's like July 4th in a bottle!
