While sadly I haven't gotten to use these at a concert yet because there hasn't been any recently I have tried them with my headphones since after just a few short hours my ears are hurting even with the sound down and I have to take them off.
I have been wanting to try something like these because I tend to be up front with the speakers and I find my ears ringing and loss of balance as if I am in a daze after a concert. I am getting older and I have started to worry about the hearing loss that can ensue from listening to Metal and Rock at high volumes.
I will be going (if nothing comes up) to a concert in October. Judas Priest and I think that will be the true test for these beauties. Noise cancellation and no ear ache and just brilliant music? Count me in!
These come in a canister that screws closed and has a key chain ring so they can always be with you. Have to walk past some loud construction? Pop these in and protect your hearing! Once you lose it not much can be done to improve it.
They slip easily in your ear and stayed comfortably for me. They are easy to remove my pulling on what I like to think of as the handle but also serves as the sound filter. When wearing them I was able to take the volume form the 20 that I can normally handle up to 43 and still could have gone higher but didn't want to risk damaging my headphones. I felt no pain and anything I would still hear in the background (like my typing) were gone. Just the sound of the music was all that I heard. It also lowered the volume of the music as well.
If you love concerts as much as me and are concerned about your hearing I recommend checking out
DownBeats which can be found at their site.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
