Halo Innovations was founded in 1994 by Dr W. Schmid, who began his research of sleeping environments after losing his daughter to SIDS, Halo is a Minneapolis based company dedicated to develop products that set new standards for safety and improved sleeping health for infants. The company is well known for their high quality and safe swaddles and sleeping bags. Now they bring to us a breakthrough in infants sleeping security the new Halo Bassinet Swivel Sleeper, but what makes this bassinet different from any other currently sold in the market: The bassinet can be moved close to the bed and it can be positioned on top of the bed allowing the mom and the baby all the benefits of bed sharing without the suffocation risks.
The Swivel Sleeper is light weight and can be easily moved around the bedroom, the beautiful but simple design was created to blend and match any room decor. The Swivel sleeper rotates 360 degree in 2 different pivot points, the first elliptical allowing the bassinet to pulled in to the bed next to mom and the second one circular making it easier for mommy to get in and out of the bed. The Swivel mesh walls allows visibility and breathability. The bassinet height is adjustable (24'' and 34''), The maximum weight is 30 pounds (or around 5 months). The Swivel Sleeper meet or exceeds all CPSC and Canadian Health guidelines and standards.
A few tips to keep your baby safe:
- Place baby to sleep on his or her back at naptime and at night time.
- Room-share, but don’t bed share; the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend against bed sharing as it can lead to an increased risk for accidental suffocation.
- Use a crib or bassinet that meets current safety standards with a firm mattress that fits snugly and is covered with only a tight-fitting crib sheet.
- Remove all soft bedding and toys from your baby’s sleep area (this includes loose blankets, bumpers, pillows and positioners). The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests using a wearable blanket instead of loose blankets to keep your baby warm.
- Offer a pacifier when putting baby to sleep. If breastfeeding, introduce pacifier after one month or after breastfeeding has been established.
- Breastfeed, if possible, but when finished, put your baby back to sleep in his or her separate safe sleep area alongside your bed.

Wishing there was a product like this when my children were born many many moons ago. The next generation of parents have so many helpful items available to them! I would have LOVED this. Although I am past my baby making days there are always grandchildren :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway. I love that it rotates all the way around. How convenient.
ReplyDeleteGreat bassinet. Love how you can keep your baby close to you at night but also keep them safe.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a cool product! I know some of my friends would love this for their babies. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is clever! I'm not a mother, but I can certainly appreciate cool designs and functionality. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww I wished I had this when my little guy was born. Great review!
ReplyDeleteAmazing product! I'd love this.
ReplyDeleteThis would make a great baby shower gift. I love that it's portable and swivels. I can imagine it would make things much easier.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a mom and I don't have a kid, but I think that babies should not sleep on adult beds. For safety reasons, babies should have something like the Halo Swivel Sleeper. This is a nice product.
ReplyDeleteMy son was colichy and he would only sleep on top of me for the first few month. After that he accepted to sleep next to me where he could still feel my body heat. I never planned to cosleep, it just happened.
ReplyDeleteI'm GETTING THIS!! Next baby will be lucky enough to be able to have this. I still have nightmares of the time I had my son in bed with me and he fell down. Lucky for us our bed is practically on the floor so the fall wasn't so bad.
ReplyDeleteThat basinet looks amazing and we wish we had one like this! Giveaway says it hasn't started yet?
ReplyDeleteThis is sweet and co-sleeping is so much easier this way!
ReplyDeleteI was looking for one like this when my baby was little but couldn't find one from the store that will work with my bed. I co-slept all my 3 boys without bassinet and they are okay and healthy. I don't mind getting one like this though but too late now we are done having kids.
ReplyDeleteWish I had something like this when I had my daughter, it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteWow, this looks like an amazing product! I don't have kids yet, but many of friends are either pregnant or planning to be, so I will recommend them this product. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteReading this suddenly made me remember how my mom used to stay up late in the wee hours of the morning to take care of us when we were babies. This generation and the next to come are fortunate because the Swivel Sleeper is now available.
ReplyDeleteWow is this available world wide? Perfect for moms who want to take care of their child inside their room. It's sleek and doesn't occupy space. I hope this will be available here in the Philippines because I'll buy one once I get pregnant again. Good luck to all joining.
ReplyDeletewe are in the process of adoption and I definitely want this because this would really help us a lot/
ReplyDeleteConvenience and Comfort are the two strongest points of this product. I have to buy one, oh wait, I don't have a baby yet. boooyah

ReplyDeleteThis would be a great gift for my son and his wife when they have baby #2. They're not expecting, but they're considering it in the near future. :)
ReplyDeleteHow handy! I think this would make a great baby shower gift!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad we are past that stage of our lives. The stuff they are making for babies now seems to be getting so much better.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if my cheetah would curl up in this?
