Yummy Yoomy Feeding System. Review (Blu me away or Pink of me Event)

Whether you breastfeed or bottle feed your baby, a good bottle is something you must have at home. If you are a stay at home mom or a working mom and you breastfeed you will need a pump and storage milk bags now if you bottle feed you know it's harder and more time consuming. My 2 older kids were really picky when it came to their milk temperature, they didn't like it cold and hot was not an option. I breastfed my daughter almost 8 months but I had no milk to offer my son after the 2nd month, so by the time my daughter was 5 and my son was 2, I was some type of expert in warming baby bottles while sleep-walking. When my children were babies the bottle could be warmed by a couple of options: microwave, stove (bain- marie) a couple of secs under hot tap water, there are a couple of bottle warmers but they weren't as popular as they are now, yet every single one of them involved waking up, prepare the milk and warm it up or use hot water and try to cool the milk with cold water or ice.

One of my dreams was to find a bottle you could prepare 1 hour before going  bed, place it in the  fridge and when the time to feed your little one comes, take it from the fridge and  press a button and it would magically warm up, well a couple of months ago I read an article about my dreams come true, someone somewhere had invented a self-warming bottle, I read about this couple in London whose night feeding experience inspired them to create a bottle which you could take out of the fridge and 60 secs later you could feed your baby with milk at the perfect temperature. Since the company base is in the UK, I thought it could be hard to learn more about Yoomi, yet after some emails I was blessed with the opportunity to review the Yoomi Feeding System. So lets move on and I'll try to explain how this little wonder works, the bottle itself is 4 pieces: a cap, collar, teat (slow flow) and the bottle (240ml), other than that you have the central piece of the system called the warmer and a pod to be used on the microwave.

Heating the warmer for the first time is really easy, the system comes with detailed instructions. You need to use the warmer and the pod I did it in the microwave and it took me 70 seconds between the heat and shake. Now I'm really glad I read the whole thing before doing anything since after you heat your warmer for  the first time or simply warm it up you need to let the warmer cool completely, it will take 75 mins at room temp or 20 mins in cold water, yeah I actually did it after dinner and checked my warmer like 2 hours later, there is a simple sound test to know if  it's charged or not,  shake the warmer if it rattles it's ready, if it sounds slushy it needs to be charged. So after the whole charge thing I left the bottle on the fridge and went to watch tv, then read a book and came back like at 3 am to check if it actually worked, all I did was press the button, put the cap into the bottle turned it upside down for 60 secs and voila!!! Yes it worked the milk was warm, I cannot really tell you how good it felt to know I would be able to actually prepare a perfect warm milk bottle in 60 seconds!!.

Now the sad part is that every (approx) x150 feeds you will need to replace the warmer with a new one but $23/25 is a small price to pay for a night of rest and  to keep my sanity intact, if you are someone like me  you will only use the warmer at night, which gives you approximately 4/5 months of wonderful nights and if you think you love this little gadget believe me your husband will not only treasure but worship his new little best friend. The whole system is BPA free and the teat is designed to be anti-colic and allows your little one a perfect latch. The bottle has a ergonomic design making it easy for you to hold while feeding your baby. The bottle is not only perfect for  late night feeding but for traveling, camping or any other activity that involves been away from home for long periods of time. I'm definitively  crazy about my Yoomi Feeding System for any mommy who misses sleeping almost all night long this bottle is the answer.
