Yesterday was my husband BD (birthday) and it always remind me this next couple of months,will be filled up with Birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day,Prom, Baby showers, Weddings (which means anniversaries), starting on May until September it seems every single person I know including my own kids had a birthday or another celebration, it wouldn't be a big deal but there is this small problem, everyone expects a gift.

So every year I dive into this twisted dimension of online shopping, coupons, flowers, department stores, flea markets, mass retailers and drugstores in my quest to find the perfect gift and as much as I  love shopping (mostly for me) I cant stand looking for gifts for someone else for more than 20 mins. Finally after a long day and swollen feet, ruined heels and blisters, I come home get in my pjs wear my lovely slippers,  turn my pc on and Google for gifts baskets.

I could go on and on for hours on how hard it is to find a good Gift basket company who ships all over the US, has decent prices, great baskets; sadly most have poor customer support or don't have it at all and the goodies dont always arrive on time or in good shape. I do have a couple of companies I like, but this month I found out about this new company (new to me), some of my lovely blogger friends were talking about gift baskets and the name California Delicious was dropped several times, I'm a curious gal so I went to their site to check out the baskets: the website has a clean design, is really easy to navigate around fast and responsive ,the pictures are beautiful and my favorite part is the product description and how detailed it is, they have a gift  basket for every occasion and I mean every occasion.

As any pregnant women my cravings were at their highest while looking at all the chocolate (yup I dream and live by chocolate least this 9 months), I had to try them and of course be sure their customer service was not only efficient but cordial, a week later I found an email from their public relationships team, they were allowing me to try a gift basket, I couldn't pick fast enough the California Delicious "Classic Ghirardelli Chocolate Gift Basket" was stalking my dreams since the day I laid my eyes in the dark sweet beauty.

California Delicious made a great first impression, the lady I was exchanging emails with, is so nice and patient, always polite and cordial, a week later when this beautiful basket showed on my door, the greeting card was the first thing that caught my attention, and what a nice way to start my day. Now on to the goodies: the presentation is outstanding, perfectly wrapped and the chocolates are placed to keep your eyes on them, the basket had so many different types of chocolates. It's quite hard to describe the feeling ......but taking the picture for this review was one of the hardest thing I ever came across, because the whole time I was fighting the chocolate cravings.

The chocolate selection was perfect, after I was done taking pictures I tried and tested  most of the chocolates in the basket (Ok I ate all of them and barely breath while doing so..... sorry, I'm pregnant) I could describe for days how good the chocolates were but it might be better if you get your own. (we will get there). 

Yes I had a great experience with California Delicious. I am in love with their basket selection, and glad I found them now I can avoid the shopping and all the torture devices involved  and send the perfect gift basket for every single event, party, anniversary, holiday, etc.
