Not all babies are alike and when we talk about our children's development some of them seem to progress faster and earlier: a few are early crawlers, walkers or talkers. Some babies work on their back and neck strength, motor skills in different stages. Yet it doesn't actually matter if you are a first time mom or a 5 kids veteran; there is one early stage everyone is scared of, yes, that's right "Early teething", lets be real, teething is scary. It doesn't  really matter how early or late it starts, but the earliest the harder will be for your baby to find relief and for you to help your little one.

There is no medical or scientific reason for early teething; it's one of those motherhood mysteries. Some babies start teething as earlier as 3 months and in rare cases some will be born showing a beautiful white pearl. The symptoms can vary: from babbling to fever or gum swelling to sleep problems and the treatments go from homemade to pain medication (benzocaine, lidocaine, or choline salicylate) which can cause more problems than offer relief.

A 6 months old baby teething is nerve racking, but when it happens at 3 months old, it will not only affect your nerves but in some cases make you feel like if you were failing to protect your child. I had this problem with my second baby, my son, his motor abilities were not  developed enough to hold a teething ring and the consequences of the so called pain relief medicine, were more frightening than many horror movies. He went through a couple weeks  of nightmare's, thankfully his second tooth didn't show until he was 7 months old.

With my third baby I want to be ready in case she/he starts the teething process earlier or he doesn't develop his motor skills on time One of my favorite hobbies is to stalk some parenting blogs, that's how I came across the Wristy Buddy website, First it was plain curiosity and the adorable little plush animal, after  reading thoroughly and looking for more mom reviews and ideas, I had to have one. I had a hunch, the Wristy Buddy will be one of those items I'm not going to regret having in my baby bag.

The idea is so simple yet ingenious, it works perfectly on babies under 6 months, the design is adorable with a cute little owl and bright colors to keep your baby's attention focused. The Wristy Buddy is a bracelet, more properly a wrist band with a teething ring attached to the left, a small felt, towel or plush stuffed animal (ours shows an adorable owl) in the middle and soft piece of satin to the right. The band itself is a soft and stretchy material.

Like I mentioned before the design is brilliant, allows your baby to relieve their sore gums in the silicon ring, while getting visually and tactile engaged and stimulated with the different colors and textures; meantime the fabric keeps their faces and clothes dry.

The Wristy Buddy is intended to be used on babies 3 months and older, can be machine or hand washed , the materials used (Silicon, Polyester, Cotton and Satin) are: BPA-Free, Lead-Free, Phthalate-Free and Non-Toxic certified by a U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission approved laboratory.
