Rogue from the X-men Nail art

Rogue from the X-men Nail art

I have been seeing all this awesome nail art and had been inspired to try my own hand. I was just playing around with something I seen online and ended up with a nail that makes me think of Wolverine.

I decided since I still had no clue what I wanted to do with my last nail that I would go with a design inspired by Rogue. I painted my nail green using Wet n' Wild Lean and Green with 3 coats as its a thin color. While that was drying I took a ziplock bag and painted a strip of yellowed out by Ruby Kisses and let dry. Once both were dry I proceeded to cut a strip out and placed on my nail.

I then cut off any excess and applied clear coat. I then used Wet n' Wild Ebony hates Chris on the ziplock and waited to dry. Even though it is a quick dry formula I had issues getting the black to dry so i instead used my dotting tool to try to complete the design. I am a righty so trying to draw using my left hand was a challenge. I should have planned the X-men symbol better and after using the dotter it didnt look the best. I was then happy to see that the dot Had finally dried. I used my cuticle scissors to cut the circle into the shape I needed and then applied as well as I could over the badly hand drawn symbol. I think it turned out since this was the first nail art that I actually had a planned goal for.

Have you done any X-men or other comic inspired nail art? Id love to see it leave me a link in your comment!
