Gigwalk: Making money from iPhone,iPad,iPod

Gigwalk: Making money from iPhone,iPad,iPod

I did not receive any compensation for this post I simply wanted to share the great program that I have discovered.

In the past I had made money various ways with my iPhone but after time I just stopped doing it. Well I started looking again for a way to build my savings. I stumbled on Gigwalk and decided to check it out. So what you do is you check the map (or list view) to see what jobs are available in your area.

You pick a job and apply.  Once approved for the Gig you have 2 days to complete it

The jobs are in a range of different items. I completed a survey and provided images from 2 locations in my town for motor bikes. I was paid $80 to complete for each location, what was involved was:
  • Filling out a survey on the types of vehicles that were at the location
  • What manufacturer was featured the most at the location
  • How many of each brand they had in: ATV,side by sides, motor bikes, and motorcycles
  • Take a picture of outside and a few inside.
  • Sketch a layout of the store
All in all it took about an hour to complete the first job. The second job didn't go as well because the store manager said I was not allowed to complete the project inside but was free to do the parking lot. Gigwalk understood and I completed the task and survey from what I had glanced inside and what I was seeing outside and still compensated me for my time.

People that I have talked to have asked me about the program and what its about.
Here's the skinny: Bing is working on their maps and search providing more pictures for places when people search for them to show what they look like and offer more of an idea of whats available.
Instead of hiring full time employees they are allowing people just like you and me to complete these jobs to earn some spare cash. It doesn't just stop there! Other businesses can pay people to do surveys for them too, the possibilities are endless.

I was worried at first that I might not get paid but I figured $160 was worth a shot. Sure enough within 2 days I was paid via the paypal account I provided to them. I am highly pleased with the program and will continue to use it.
