DIY HARD NAIL Gel Polish Swatch

DIY HARD NAIL GEL POLISH
(Pronounced “Die-Hard” nails)
Hello everyone! Today I want to share with you these thermal gel polishes from DIY Hard Nails. These gel polishes are a first for me and I am having fun using them. What makes them cool is that they change colors when in heat or cold. They are so fun to wear.

I had chosen these two colors.
Gel nails are so easy. Before receiving these I never got into gel nails because
I thought they were difficult and a lot of work to apply. I thought
wrong.

All of the DIY Hard Nail color changing polishes have a thick creamy formula, and they are loaded with glitter. I really love the look of these. They are really easy to apply.

Let's talk polish...

Ice Queen is frosted white with purple undertones when nails are warm and changes to deep purple when nails are cold. Full of multi-sized Glitter. Even more stunning than the photos. There is a blue color when it is in the middle of both hot and cold. Which I love that color.

Pink Galaxy is bright pink when nails are warm and changes to dark purple when nails are cold. Full of multi-sized Glitter. Even more stunning than the photos. I thought this was going to be purple when warm, I do like that pink is the main color. Its so vibrant and pretty.

I found one of my favorite at home gel polish ever! I love glitter and I am not talking teeny tiny micro glitter but the big hexes in various sizes that indies seem to use way more than mainstream. So I was shocked to see these beauties had that awesome glitter when I pulled the brush from the bottle. Something else I was amazed by was 2 of the 3 are thermals! It never crossed my mind that a gel polish could be a thermal.

Although the polish is a little thick its about the same with most gel polishes and you just have to take your time. I used my mini Sally Hansen light to cure these and found them easy to apply. I wore pink galaxy for about 4 days because I just didn't want to take it off! I stamped some swirls over it using Color Club worth the risque and a Moyou London plate.

Adge helped me with the swatches and the video of the color change and to help removal on her since she didn't have pure acetone we used the gel top coat as the base instead of the base. I had done this as well on my right hand and they popped off before I could get a photo.

I loved pink galaxy so much I used a traditional base coat and man can I tell you it took me forever to get Pink galaxy to come off. I tried buffing it and holding a cotton ball on it and got no where. I hadn't planned ahead and had no foil on me. I decided to ask my cubby buddy at work if she had any foil and box did i get lucky that she did. I wrapped my finger in foil and waited for 20 mins. My co workers thought I was crazy and typing was a challenge but 20 mins later the polish was just falling off. I am not sure if with it being thermal and add in the glitter caused it to be a bit harder to remove than most gels I used but I didn't have this problem with Pink Hottie when I went to remove it.

This was Adges first time doing gel and I think it went well! She didn't know about all the steps required to do the process and I forgot the alcohol and we had to go to the store and get some and had to start over. OOPs!!!! Please forgive my ADHD where I pause while talking sometimes losing train of thought.
