Fairs in Evansville Indiana

Saturday I had a busy day but it was a lot of fun!

I started the day out with a yard sale. Just dropping by to see my cousin also named Ruby. Once we finished chatting I was on my way.

I decided to check out the craft fair at the new North high school. I hadn't been to the new school since it was built. The new school started with class of 2010 where I was the class of 2006. The school is quite beautiful and I found myself wishing to wonder it's halls.

Vacation in Indy. Day 1 and what I did. #hottopic #Indianapolis #itcanwait

It was a spur of the moment idea, something to celebrate the Old Mans 35th birthday. I hadn't been in indy since 5th grade for a sight seeing experience but I had been there in the spring break of my senior year but I didn't get to stop and see anything. So after looking at the options of things to do in Nashville, St. Louis (which I have been to), Cincinnati, and Indianapolis. I looked and looked and found about 5 things I would like to do in each but I liked the attractions better in Indy. Museums are the type of places I like to go and I love architecture and the Old Man had spent some time in Indy and always talked about places he'd like to show me. So I figured why not go there!

Water department

There was a crack in our street where the water was flowing under the concrete and coming back up  through a crack on the other side. My boyfriend called the water department to let them know because its been getting worse over the last month and they told him that they knew about it and weren't going to do anything about it. This after we were under a boil advisory for almost a week because river water over flowed into the drinking water and they waited 2 days before letting everyone know!

So after my old man told me what they said I called the news to report it. I was a little late in calling so they said they wouldn't be able to cover it till the next day I said sure thats fine. well the next morning guess who was out there? THE water department finally came to look at the damage to access what needed to be done.

They didnt actually fix it till today, but I think that is crazy that we had to go through all that to get them to fix it! My old man also told me that he called the mayors office or something but we never got a call back from the news so I think it was that.

They tore up the area and hopefully will put it right tomorrow.
