Healthy Surprise is a monthly snack box subscription that includes a variety of full-size snacks that are good for you.

"You can expect to get products made with fruits (dried, dehydrated, freeze dried & "fruit leathers"), nuts (clusters, trail mixes), bars (all kinds), crackers, vegetables, chocolates (raw, things covered like espresso beans, cacao nibs), kale chips (plain, salt and vinegar, etc), drink pouches and other new innovative products like Skinny Crisps."

I have wanted to try this box out for years now! Most of the snacks are kid-friendly too so Raine helped me out on this one.

The box comes with a $25 gift subscription gift card so you can treat a friend or relative with a Healthy Surprise box at half the price. It also comes with a sticker that reads "We are NOT GMOs." I will be sure to stick that on my car window or somewhere else good. They included info on what is (and is not) in the products and a recipe for Black Olive Hummus. I love when you open a box and it is packed FULL of new products. There was only one kind of chips that I had tried before! photo 3 (1)

I ate this whole bag of Inka Chips plantain chips right away. They are delicious! I buy The Daily Crave veggie chips every time I go to T.J. Maxx so I let Raine gobble those up.

We always have fruit and veggie squeeze pouches around. They are just so convenient and easy to throw in your bag as an emergency snack for yourself or the kid if he gets cranky. I had not heard of the Fruit.O brand before, but they were wonderful.

Oskri raisins are plain, healthy raisins. I'm not a raisin fan, so Raine tore into these.

Okay, here's where I pass some things off to other people. I have never been able to handle dried coconut. I didn't get a good photo since my son kept grabbing everything I pulled out of the box. Wonderfully Raw mini coco-roons brownie. If you like coconut and chocolate you will enjoy these.

I will never understand America's obsession with bacon. I haven't eaten a pig since I was 14, so I figured I'd taste this CocoBacon just because..... I had 3 people this actually, and I would only wish this upon your worst enemy. Sorry, Coconut Organics. It is terrible. Cute packaging though.

I am not a dried seaweed fan. I gave these to a friend who said the flavor (Chipotle) was good and hot.

Another items I always keep around is the fruit and nut bar. Usually Larabar. We are big peanut/date bar fans here. What I love about the bars is the simple ingredients lists. The New York Date Bars are very good. I ate the pecan date bar right away.

Raine enjoyed the Oskri apple bar. I really liked the Just Fruit Bar and the sweet potato snack that both reminded me of those fruit roll-ups but way better and actually good for you!

I was very intrigued by this dried banana. It was pretty much black and tasted great! Raine and I shared this pack.

  1. I'd really like to try some new bars and healthy sweets. I only eat healthy foods but they can be expensive and sometimes I'll get something new that I don't like and I hate waste. This is perfect and the gift subscription would be excellent for my mom so she doesn't have to listen to me every time we go shopping together about her choices.

  10. I am open to anything that could be in the box but I love mixed nuts and such with dried fruits and other items like that. But I would be super glad to try anything and that is better then what I already am taking in.
