A couple of months ago, my family (well my husband) was blessed with a pair of Lugz footwear for a review. The company sent me a pair of canvas shoes to try and test for the upcoming father's day, now we live in Texas and summer here is really really hot, so most guys wear flip-flops, sandals or canvas shoes. the synthetic leather or leather shoes are uncomfortable to wear during spring and summer. The heat here offers no truce, but we are lucky enough to live a couple of miles away from lake Arlington, which in summer is the place to go for most families.
Usually my husband would wear his synthetic leather sneakers, he hates flip-flops and sandals, most of the canvas shoes we can buy are designed for teenagers they come in neon or metallic colors, which are not really age appropriate for a father of 3 and over 30 years old. My husband was quite pleased with the Gypsum Loo Ripstop in black from Lugz, The shoes look great with cargo pants, shorts, bermudas , khakis or plain jeans. The design is sleek but casual and can easily work for an adult or a teenager.
My husband loved the chance to review these shoes, he is pretty picky when it comes to footwear since he works outdoors, he has been wearing the same brand and type of shoes since he moved back to the US in 2009, mainly because they were budget friendly, comfortable, he liked the design and the shoes were gentle with his feet in winter and summer. So to find he liked the Gypsum from Lugz was not really a surprise the company has positive feedback in several blogs and all over the net, he liked the model and the design, as soon as they came out of the box he was trying them, his feet have a difficult shape and finding shoes that will not hurt him is not an easy job.
He was completely sold after the day he went to work wearing the Gypsum, the first thing he said when he came home was how comfortable the shoes were, how flexible is the rubber outsole, the great grip the shoes have, how much he enjoyed the cushioned insole, how rested his feet felt and how they helped with the pain in his knees. The tongue and the collar are padded for that extra comfort.
Overall he was pretty pleased with the Gypsum in particular and Lugz in general, an extra bonus to the Gypsum is how easy to clean and dry they are. It doesn't really matter how expensive or with what material the shoes were made they will not last more than 2 months, I can attest how durable are the Gypsum since they already bested the 3 months mark and are still in great shape. You cannot beat a pair of durable, comfortable and great looking shoes more when they are budget friendly, The Gypsum Lug retails for $49.99, which is accessible to most people.
