Nylabone - Long Lasting Durable Rotating End Chew

As you all know I'm a BIG fan of the Nylabone DuraChew.  Recently I was walking around in Wal-Mart and came across a bone that I hadn't seen before.  It was a size Large and from what I could tell trying to test it through the package it seemed like it might hold up to the mighty jaws of the Todd Ellison.  It was only five or six dollars so I figured I'd go ahead and give it a try.  If it wasn't up to my standards and safe for my boy I could toss it out and it wouldn't be that much out of pocket.  To my surprise it lasted a lot longer than I ever thought it would and Todd LOVED it.  

He had both the DuraChew and the Rotating End Chew at the same time for a while and seemed to like the Rotating end better.  He only tends to chew on one end of any bone that he has so the top (bigger) end is the one with about 99% of the chewage and this only lasted about three weeks or so before I decided the end was too pointy and it should probably be thrown away for the safety of Todd AND myself.  (He likes to run through the house as fast as he can and whip around corners by just swinging his butt around.)  I think for a really strong chewer this would be okay with supervision and just make sure to check the toy everyday for any large missing pieces and toss it when it gets worn down.  For dogs that like to chew a lot but are moderate to heavy chewers this would be a really great toy and it comes in sizes Small to Large so you can get one to fit your pet's needs.  I would still recommend inspecting the toy daily and using supervision until you know how quickly your dog is going to wear it down. (And yes, I know what it looks like after it has been chewed on.  LOL!)
