Thorne Manor and other bizarre tales by Diane Wing review.

This is a book of short stories written by the author. I have to say of the many in the book Thorne manor was my favorite and I wished it was longer! Thorne manor is the main piece in this book and is 104 pages long. The main character is Heather who is recently divorced from her abusive husband, Robert king. She is trying to follow through with her dream of owning a place of entertainment, a place to host parties and weddings. The twist? She wants to have a collection of physics of different abilities on hand for readings. Over the course of the story she finds herself having to deal with Robert, hateful ghosts, and pain from the past repeating itself. In this tale she also finds love in an unexpected place, the arms of Erick Thorne. I am hoping that this short story launches a series as I want to know more. Although I can assume what happened at the end I liked the characters so much that I would like a spin off series to launch and the author prove me wrong on my assumptions.

By invitation only left me curious at what was causing the hole. I felt my heart strings being pulled at by the grief Loretta felt after losing Toby. The story left me wondering if the creature was really sent by Toby or if it just read her mind and used that name to get what it wanted.
The other stories contain a girl who prefers dreams to the waking world. A demon who in his demand to be pampered so he can continue his plans of conquer seals his fate. A woman who should have read the fine print. A man whose hatred for one orange tabby gets him in a Hairy situation. And a woman whose urge to be accepted by others ignores her spirit guide getting herself into a world of trouble.

I would highly recommend this book to any with the love of paranormal.

I received this book in exchange for a review. All thoughts are my own.
